My Godly System

My Godly System is a sci-fi system-flow and infinite-flow web novel by Xuanyuan Longye. Serialization began in September 2011 and concluded in February 2013, totaling about 2.46 million Chinese characters across 810 chapters. The protagonist, Long Yueye, is an orphaned otaku who accidentally binds a mysterious "Godly System." The system issues missions that send him shuttling through various anime-derived planes, where completing tasks and earning rewards lets him continually unlock new abilities and forms: from the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan to popular combat powers like Zanpakuto, to contracting various characters, participating in the Holy Grail War, and forming the Phantom Moon Mercenary Corps. He battles Destroyers across the planes, gathering companions and hoarding trump cards along the way, and the story closes with events such as subduing the Four Sacred Beasts and dueling Kira. Blending mockery and hot-blooded excitement, the work strings together multiple anime worlds and carries a strong fan-fiction and parody flavor. It is a fairly representative long-running serial from the early 2010s, when system-flow, infinite-flow, and anime fan-fiction styles converged, and is suited to readers who want to revisit the web-novel taste of that era.
