Inhuman Vol. 9

Summary
This volume is the ninth installment of Marvel's Inhuman (2014–2015) series, corresponding to the original issue Inhuman (2014) #9, titled "Ennilux," released in North America on December 3, 2014, as a tie-in chapter of the "AXIS" event. The story follows the landscape after the Infinity event: Black Bolt detonated the Terrigen Bomb and Attilan fell, dormant Inhuman genes worldwide were activated, NuHumans kept awakening, and Queen Medusa rebuilt New Attilan from the ruins of a leaderless people while trying to gather those who had suddenly gained powers. The main thread of this volume centers on the new characters Reader and the girl Xiaoyi: after being attacked by bounty hunters, the two make their way to the Ennilux Corporation hidden in Venice; what this secretive institution is actually doing also gradually surfaces in this volume. Meanwhile, New Attilan holds a funeral for the fallen, Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) comes to pay her respects, and Gorgon must face questioning from United Nations inspectors. Medusa, whose personality was "inverted" by the AXIS event, also reveals a fearsome other side in this volume. Written by Charles Soule and drawn by Ryan Stegman, this volume is a key chapter for understanding the series' mid-run political intrigue and conspiracy threads.
Editor's review

Reading tips
FAQ
