Heaven's Curtain Divine Constable is a fantasy·high-martial-arts world web novel by Dongcheng Ling, serialized on Qidian, under China Literature Group, from October 2016 to its completion on January 31, 2018, totaling about 3.14 million Chinese characters. The protagonist, Lu Sheng, accidentally obtains the "Token of Punishing Evil" and possesses the body of a scholar returning home in glory; with it he enters the path of a constable and gradually rises to become the divine constable who commands the Heaven's Curtain Office. The Token of Punishing Evil grants him the ability to "punish the evil of the human world and gain peerless martial arts": for every case he solves and every evildoer he punishes, he can exchange for martial arts manuals and inner-power cultivation. Legendary martial arts such as the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms, Little Li's Flying Dagger, Flying Fairy from Beyond Heaven, and Record of the God of War Diagram are successively revived in his hands. Lu Sheng maneuvers among them as a constable, uncovering the conspiracies behind the cases step by step, and carries the belief of "punishing evil on behalf of Heaven" onto a larger stage. The book features a complete power system and dense combat descriptions, with Jianghu grudges interwoven with court intrigues; it is a relatively representative completed work in the system-flow and constable-detective genres.
