Transformers Vol. 22

This volume is the 22nd in the Chinese edition of the classic Marvel Transformers series, corresponding to U.S. The Transformers #22, "Heavy Traffic!" (1986). The story continues from the previous issue: seven Autobots from Cybertron have just arrived on Earth when they are rounded up by the human anti-robot unit RAAT; its commander, Walter Barnett, is uneasy about Circuit Breaker's almost ruthless strong-arm methods, while Circuit Breaker insists she wants no money, only revenge. Aboard the Ark, Soundwave's subordinate Bombshell slips in and, while Ratchet is treating Optimus Prime's wounds, injects a cerebro-shell into Optimus Prime in an attempt to control the Autobot leader, only to find he can read his thoughts but cannot issue him orders. This accidental channel instead lets Megatron siphon energy while Optimus Prime uses the Matrix to activate the Aerialbots, giving life to a new batch of Decepticon warriors, the Stunticons. Meanwhile the Autobot Skids takes the human Donny Finkelberg out to search for missing comrades and, in rescuing a driver in danger, exposes his identity and makes the news; humans and Decepticons alike follow the trail, and a chaotic battle jammed onto the highway erupts, with the Stunticons and Aerialbots combining into Menasor and Superion, while Donny is scheming to sell Skids.
