Sword Rain Tower

Sword Rain Tower is a long traditional wuxia novel by Qichi Shusheng. It was serialized on Chuangshi Chinese Network beginning in November 2013 and completed in January 2015, with 599 chapters and about 2.48 million characters. The story begins with events twenty years earlier: Jian Wushuang challenges the second-, third-, and fourth-ranked masters of the martial world in succession atop Mount Kunlun and thereby founds the famous assassin organization Sword Rain Tower. Yet Sword Rain Tower is massacred overnight, and one hundred and seventy-four of its people die. At the same time, Ye Xian, master of Fallen Leaf Valley and ranked first in the martial world, dies mysteriously, and a mysterious force leaves the prophecy: "When Sword Rain leaves its sheath, Ye Xian must fall; the martial world will change, and it will arrive soon." Behind all this lies a vast conspiracy. Jian Xingyu, a surviving son of Sword Rain Tower, bears the grievances of the previous generation and sets out on the path of revenge and rebuilding. The novel's main threads include the struggle for the Sword Rain Heart Method and the convening of a great martial arts assembly; it depicts martial rankings, human-life transactions, duels for life and death, and revenge with hidden weapons, as well as the open and covert struggles among forces such as Hidden Sword Manor and Fallen Leaf Valley, all governed by the principle that "martial world matters are settled within the martial world." The book is structured into three prequel parts and seven main chapters: the prequels are "Blood Spatters the Eight Directions Inn," "Dream of the Tianzi Assassination," and "Soul Broken on the Night of Bloodshed," after which the main narrative follows Jian Xingyu as he first enters the martial world and rebuilds his forces, presenting a martial world canvas in which the fates of two generations intertwine and heroes contend. The author deliberately makes Sword Rain Tower itself the true protagonist, with its many characters together giving the tower flesh and soul.
