The Sword Dao Prodigy

The Sword Dao Prodigy is an Eastern fantasy novel by Mengqing Jiu. Serialization began on Qidian on May 12, 2014, and concluded on November 30 of the same year; the book runs to 396 chapters and roughly 1.12 million characters. It is the author's debut and only long-form work. At the opening, Shen Que, a talented young man of the Shen family on the Tianyao Continent, runs away from an arranged marriage and accidentally steps on a strange stone; his soul crosses thousands of miles to the body of Chen Feng, a wastrel young master of the Chen family in Runcheng. Shen Que is learned and highly gifted in cultivation but lacks a special bloodline power; Chen Feng carries demon blood but gave up on himself after abandoning his training halfway. The pacing is tight and the battles dense, and the coexistence of two souls keeps asking "Who am I?", adding a layer of identity reflection to conventional hot-blooded leveling. The ending ties up two storylines at once, leaving an echo for the order of the two worlds.
