Six Realms

Six Realms is a xianxia novel by web author Liulang, also known as Six Realms: The Roguish Youth of Mount Shu's Path to Heaven and The Wretched Youth's Journey to Heaven: Six Realms. It runs about 1.76 million characters and was completed in December 2022. The story begins with Mount Shu Sword Sect disciple Mu Ziqi being punished: for peeking at his junior sister undressing, his master sends him to Reflection Cliff, where Patriarch Changmei attained nirvana, to reflect. Reflection Cliff is said to be a place from which no one returns, yet it hides an ancient legacy. On the cliff, Mu Ziqi obtains a peerless cultivation method and a divine sword, and meets the tree spirit Er and the nine-tailed fox Bai Su, beginning his own path to heaven. The novel follows the main line of Mu Ziqi's rise from ordinary mortal to powerful figure, using settings such as the "Wordless Heavenly Book" and the "Six Realms of Reincarnation" to link plots including the Blood Bagua, the war between humans and immortals, Xiangxi corpse-driving, and Mount Shu spell battles. He first commands the world atop Mount Tai in the human realm holding the Sovereign's Token, then ascends to the divine mountain of the heavenly realm to fight the three great Heavenly Venerables, gradually comprehending the mysteries of the six realms of reincarnation. Later he leads the people of the six realms against invasion from the outer realm of Xuantian, ultimately reconstructs the rules of heaven and earth, and travels with thousands of experts to a higher divine realm. The overall style leans toward traditional power-fantasy cultivation: fast-paced, full of combat, with magical treasures, beasts, ghosts, and immortal and demonic realms interwoven. It is an early xianxia work that uses the "six realms of reincarnation" as its world framework.
