Summary
This is Volume 4 of the series. The Illuminati is one of the most secretive organizations in the Marvel Universe, composed of some of Earth's most brilliant and powerful heroes. Founding members include Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards), leader of the Fantastic Four; Iron Man (Tony Stark); Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme; Professor X (Charles Xavier); Black Bolt, leader of the Inhumans; and Namor, King of Atlantis. After the end of the Kree-Skrull War, these heroes secretly allied, agreeing to share intelligence and act covertly before major crises erupt, an organization unknown even to their families and allies. They often begin planning countermeasures before major events occur, but good intentions often bring heavy consequences. In this series, the Illuminati review the secret history since the organization's founding, revealing one by one their undisclosed decisions and sacrifices behind major events, while laying the groundwork for the crisis of the Skrulls' secret infiltration of Earth.
