Light Brigade, Volume 3

Light Brigade is a four-issue miniseries launched by DC Comics in 2004, written by Peter J. Tomasi with art by Peter Snejbjerg; the Chinese title "Light Brigade" evokes the light of heaven set against the battlefield of mortals. The story is set on the European front in the winter of 1944, during the famous Battle of the Ardennes (the Battle of the Bulge): bad weather strips the Allies of air superiority, German infantry and armor counterattack, and a small U.S. unit is trapped in a snowbound cemetery on an old battlefield. Through this speculative narrative, the author tests faith, sacrifice, and redemption in the harshest battlefield conditions.
