The Führer's Wrath

The Führer's Wrath is a military-historical web novel by Luo Ye Gudu, serialized on Qidian, totaling about 1.21 million characters in 538 chapters and completed. The protagonist, Li Mo, a modern young Germanophile, transmigrates to Germany during World War II and becomes Ondert Krupp, the only son of the Krupp family. The original heir was a playboy who jumped from a building and fell into a coma after his affair with Selina, the youngest daughter of German Defense Minister Dönitz, was exposed; Li Mo takes over his identity and is drawn into the whirlpool of scandal among the most prominent families in Germany at the time. Thereafter the novel unfolds from the transmigrator's perspective and that of the German camp: the protagonist gradually works his way into Germany's military system, involved in the Spanish Civil War, armored-force building, weapons development, and strategic planning, later expanding to the Eastern Front, the Normandy landings, and other key World War II moments; the story spans Eurasia and also touches on the Defense of Nanjing, Operation Barbarossa, and other historical events, interspersed with technical details such as aircraft carrier conversion and armored warfare. In the preface the author states explicitly that what he admires is the loyalty, bravery, and rigor of the German military, "having nothing to do with Nazism and nothing to do with fascism," and firmly opposes the Holocaust and extreme racism; the novel uses the World War II backdrop to discuss national destiny and personal choice, emphasizing patriotism, unity, and self-strengthening.
