A good fit for

Not a good fit for
Reading tips

About the author
Ding Jie is a Chinese author known for his work in documentary literature, politics and culture. Public information about him is limited, and his biography has not been systematically disclosed. Seven of his works are included in the collection, among them the documentary work Zhuiwen and the three-volume Wenxin Trilogy. The former, promoted as "more real and more shocking than In the Name of the People," pursues hard questions about reality, while the latter continues in three volumes to probe the human heart and the ways of the world. He has also turned to traditional culture, producing a series of books on the twenty-four solar terms, traditional festivals, folk customs, games and myths in poetry, using poetry as a thread to explore cultural themes. His writing moves between concern for reality and the popularization of culture, combining documentary sharpness with the warmth of tradition.
