Five Elements of Immortal Destiny is a fantasy cultivation novel by the web author Wentianweng, serialized on Qidian Chinese Network. It began in 2013, concluded in February 2015, and runs to 784 chapters and about 2.42 million characters. The story opens with a night conversation between a village boy, Lin Feng, and his mother, and with a divination by a mighty immortal: deep in the starry sky, a middle-aged man, having searched in vain for talent, casts a treasure, the Mysterious Heaven Spirit Jade, down to the mortal world, targeting Lin Feng's village.
