Reading tips

About the author
Tomihiko Morimi is a Japanese author whose works are categorized in the Chinese book market under science fiction, foreign literature, and essays and miscellany, with nine titles held in the collection. Based on the available materials alone, public information such as his nationality and dates of birth and death is limited, making a detailed account of his life difficult. Judging from his representative works, his writing often takes Kyoto as its stage and blends fantasy, humor, and a youthful spirit: the Eccentric Family series unfolds around the curious lives of a raccoon dog family, while The Night Is Short, Walk on Girl portrays night and youth in a lighthearted tone. He has also taken part in compiling a selection of Osamu Dazai's short stories and has published essay-like works such as The Sun and the Girl, showing a dual interest in the everyday and the fantastic.
