Main God Hunter

Main God Hunter is a multiverse infinite-flow web novel by Wandering Moonlight, serialized on Qidian starting in May 2018 and completed in 2025, totaling about 1.62 million characters in 764 chapters. The protagonist Zhao Li dies accidentally in a modern city; his soul is sent by a giant orb to an unfamiliar world, where he gains a unique talent called "Soul Ability": he can summon a semi-transparent status panel to view his attributes and freely allocate points to upgrade skills. His first trial mission is to "clear out the aliens invading this world and destroy their spacetime nodes." On first entering the plane, Zhao Li possesses Zhao Goudi, a poor tenant farmer of the Zhang family fortress in the Daheng dynasty, starting from the very bottom as a mud-legged laborer and using his point-allocation ability to gradually escape the tenant life and learn martial arts. Meanwhile, he discovers that the world's anomalies come from the external "Main God space" system—the Infernal Space, Bronze Gate Space, Nightmare Space, and other main gods keep dropping reincarnation squads into different planes to plunder resources and disrupt order. Zhao Li thus embarks on the path of hunting reincarnators: from a rough-hewn overlord of the wuxia jianghu, to a world of wizards allied with the undead calamity, to a xianxia realm standing alone atop the mountain, he follows the principle of "develop stealthily, don't show off," steadily accumulating power across planes and eliminating one blocking enemy and reincarnation squad after another. The book runs throughout on the adversarial structure of "the hunter also becomes the hunted," blending wuxia, wizard, and xianxia world settings; the prose is light and humorous with frequent internet slang, a typical "low start, high climb" long-form power-fantasy. The author notes a first-subscription count of only 14, entering Qidian's premium channel after 141 days of serialization, with the completed average subscription rising above seven thousand—a representative work of counterattack through persistence.
