Armament of God

Armament of God is an otherworld time-travel novel by the web author Ming Yi, serialized and completed on Qidian, running to about 419 chapters. The protagonist, Tang Huang, is transported to an otherworld called the Eternal Continent, bringing with him a game-breaking skill from a game, "Soul Flame." On the Eternal Continent, soul arms have grades and attributes, and a person's combat power is inseparable from their soul arms; with Soul Flame, Tang Huang refines, repairs, and upgrades all kinds of soul arms, rising from a nobody and growing ever stronger by refining them. The story revolves around struggles over sacred artifacts, racial conflict (the Orc Empire, cat-people villages, and so on), contests between gods and demons, and undead plagues. Its main thread centers on soul arms, and the author sets out a rule for them based on the mutual generation of the five elements, so that fusing soul arms of different attributes often yields greater power. The work is a composite of the leveling-up mode and otherworld conquest, divided into volumes called "collections" (such as "First Emergence" and "Rising Fame"), with blunt chapter titles and a light comic tone. As a male-oriented power fantasy focused on battle, adventure, and growth, the book suits readers who enjoy game-world settings, equipment cultivation, and system-based premises.
