The Three Kingdoms' First Elite Soldier

The Three Kingdoms' First Elite Soldier is a time-travel historical novel by the web author Luzhou Yu, serialized on Qidian from 2012 and completed in 2014. It runs about 3.488 million characters in 979 chapters across ten volumes. The story begins in the first year of Chuping: as the coalition lords east of the Pass rise against Dong Zhuo, a modern special-forces soldier, Wang Yu, is transported into this age of chaos and becomes the son of Wang Kuang, governor of Henei. With neither a prominent identity nor resources enough to overturn the era, he must carve a way out from the flames of war at Mengjin, an ancient Yellow River crossing. Using modern military training and tactics, he reorganizes the Henei army and gathers followers, distinguishing himself at the lords' alliance and the fierce battle at Hulao Pass. He then maneuvers among Cao Cao, Yuan Shao, Liu Bei and other warlords, strikes deep behind enemy lines, campaigns in Qingzhou, suppresses Yellow Turban remnants and local strongmen, and gradually builds his own base. Across ten volumes the novel follows the main line from warlord contention to the unification of the realm, combining cold-weapon mass warfare with special-operations tactics. Legendary units such as the White Horse Volunteers, the First Ascenders, the Trapped Camp and the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry appear in turn, and classic scenes like slaying Hua Xiong over warm wine and the Three Heroes battling Lü Bu are reimagined.
