Myriad Worlds System

Myriad Worlds System is a multiverse infinite-flow web novel by the author Misha, completed on Qidian in June 2014. It spans more than 600 chapters and about 1.67 million characters and belongs to Qidian's "multiverse infinite flow" category. The story begins with Lin Xiao, an ordinary city youth of humble origins and ill fortune, who at the lowest point of his life unexpectedly obtains the "Myriad Worlds System." Guided by the system's missions, he travels through one plane and world after another, assuming different identities, completing tasks, and acquiring abilities and resources, then returns with his gains to the original world to change his circumstances. From a gun-toting bank robber in a GTA5-style criminal city to a psychic who gains telekinesis in Chronicle, to the king of mutants who leads an uprising under the name "Huang Quan" in X-Men, to assorted roles in Harry Potter, Feng Yun, Fantastic Four, The Legend of Lu Xiaofeng, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Avengers, Lotus Lantern, and other worlds, Lin Xiao climbs step by step, turning the power he seizes from the myriad worlds into the firmest foundation for himself. The work's keynote is "Across the myriad worlds, I alone am supreme." It tells of a small man rising all the way through a cheat device: from an ant trampled underfoot to a supreme throne built on the corpses of gods and demons. The book is briskly paced and densely packed with arcs, bearing the strong hallmarks of the system-flow and infinite-flow fiction of its era while retaining the blunt, hot-blooded style of early web fiction.
