The Unstoppable Courage of Ten Thousand Girls is a long xianxia novel created by the web novelist Jingguan (who became famous with Boiling Beast Blood). It was serialized on Qidian Chinese, about 790,000 characters in total, and later stopped updating for some reason. The work opens with a playful first-person tone: “I lived too long a savage life in a savage foreign land, so it was impossible for me not to have tears when I returned.” The protagonist is a transmigrator, exceptionally handsome in appearance but with utterly useless aptitude, almost having no chance at cultivation. Precisely because of this good-looking face, he is sent into a cultivation sect as a “preparatory cauldron” needed by a female cultivator practicing the Path of Heartlessness. What was meant to be an almost hopeless arrangement unexpectedly gives him a golden finger in the entrance test, making him a dark horse at a leap and appointing him the senior brother of the “Fa” generation, from which an absurd yet exhilarating path of cultivation unfolds. The most distinctive feature of this book is its ensemble setting: almost everyone around the protagonist among fellow disciples has a secret—there are native reincarnators, predecessors who have taken over bodies, disguised members of other races, and those born with supernatural powers. A group of “cheaters” gathers in the same mountain sect, testing and misunderstanding one another, producing a great deal of comedy. The author writes the fantasy leveling genre with an unrestrained, infinite-flow-like spirit, mixed with many Buddhist terms, allusions, poetry, and parody references; the style is flamboyant and fluent, and the imagination has been rated by readers as “a heavenly thought.” Unfortunately, the work was interrupted at a climax, becoming a regret for many veteran readers.
