NYX Vol. 2

NYX Vol. 2 collects NYX (2024) #6–10, written by Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing, with art by Francesco Mortarino, Enid Balam, Michael Shelfer, and others, and covers by Sara Pichelli. The story picks up after the world of X-Men: From the Ashes: mutants are once again feared and hated by the world, and the young mutants of New York must carve out a path for themselves in the cracks. Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) is lucky enough to snag tickets to a Dazzler concert—but Mojo has his eye on the city's hottest show too, and the ensuing melee nearly tears the venue apart. Elsewhere, Synch revives the old Krakoan custom and challenges Prodigy to a life-or-death duel in the Danger Room; Laura Kinney (Wolverine) reunites with her old friend Hellion, who now calls himself a "Krakoan" and has become the new face of mutant terrorism—the two sit across from each other as past and present come flooding back, "we're not kids anymore." Meanwhile, Charles Xavier's first stop in his flight is New York itself—what does that mean for the new generation of "children of the atom"? And when Mojo returns with an even larger threat, everything the NYX community has painstakingly built threatens to fall apart. This is the series' second volume, centered on young mutants' identity, community, and generational fractures, with bright art and dense action, aimed at mature readers.
