Hellblazer 010

Summary
Hellblazer is a long-running supernatural horror series from DC's Vertigo imprint (1988–2013, 300 issues). Its protagonist, John Constantine, is a street magician, con man, and exorcist from a working-class Liverpool family; the character was created by Alan Moore and others in Swamp Thing and received his own series in 1988. This volume is issue No. 10 of the series (published October 1988), originally titled "Sex and Death," written by founding writer Jamie Delano, and a key link around the time the "Newcastle" backstory is revealed. It should be noted in particular that this entry corresponds to issue No. 10 of the series, while the Chinese source's reference to "Intensive Care" is actually the title of issue No. 8 (August 1988), which tells the story of Constantine being gravely injured after jumping from a vehicle, lying in a hospital bed bargaining with the demon Nergal, and being healed in exchange for the demon's blood. Because the simplified Chinese edition is published in collected form (for example, Constantine 1: Original Sins collects issues 1–9), individual issues have not been released separately, so the factual fields on this page are left blank for now; readers who wish to read it should use the collected edition.
Editor's review

Reading tips
FAQ
