A+X is an 18-issue, two-story anthology series published by Marvel from October 2012 to March 2014 as part of the Marvel NOW! publishing initiative. It is a follow-up to the 2012 event Avengers Vs. X-Men and its tie-in series AVX: VS. Each issue pairs two creative teams, each telling a ten-page short story built around the theme of one Avenger teaming up with one X-Man. Issue #18 is the final installment of the series and contains two stories. The first, written by Jim Krueger and drawn by Will Sliney, stars the Vision and Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde); the second, written by Gerry Duggan with art by David Yardin and Matteo Lolli, stars Captain America and Cyclops and belongs to the Captain America and Cyclops arc that ran from issue #13 through this final issue, a six-part storyline. This issue's chapter brings that story to a close. This volume is issue #18 of the series and the final issue overall. The Chinese fan-translated versions circulating online are not a complete, issue-by-issue rendering and often appear as scattered batches of translated chapters, so the version a reader holds may not correspond exactly to the original issue numbers or story order. Readers should take care to distinguish the original issue numbers from the fan-translation chapter numbers.
