His representative work, This Generation of Ours, records the faces of his contemporaries through images, while China's Past 100 Years: 20th Anniversary Edition of Black Lens and the Black Lens 20th Anniversary series turn the camera on ordinary people from 1919 to 2020, showing how small figures are placed within great historical eras. Black Lens: Humanity's Past 100 Years II continues this approach.
