张耳

Zhang Er is an author about whom relatively limited information is publicly available, and little is recorded about his life. The works listed under his name all fall under the category of foreign literature. Judging from the five titles held in the database, his work centers on the Chinese translation and compilation of Russian literature. Representative results include A Sportsman's Sketches (Hunter's Notes) and the World Classics Translation Library series, such as The Collected Works of Turgenev (5 volumes) and The Collected Works of Goncharov (4 volumes). These translations present classic foreign works to Chinese readers, systematically introducing writings by Turgenev, Goncharov, and others, and form part of the broader translation of world classics. Since his dates of birth and death, nationality, education, and professional career cannot be confirmed, no inferences are made here; readers may regard him as a translator engaged in Russian literary translation, whose contribution lies mainly in the compilation and presentation of these translated volumes.
