孟晖

Public information about Meng Hui is limited; all that is currently known is that one work is listed under the author's name in the history-reading category, namely Dragon and Foreign Devils: A Swedish Geologist's View of China. Judging from the title and the category, the book is a work of history writing that uses a Swedish geologist's observations as a thread to present the social landscape and everyday realities of modern China. The sources do not specify what exact role Meng Hui played in this work, and the author's education, profession and research interests cannot be confirmed, so it would be inappropriate to speculate further about the author's life. What can be noted from the available information is the book's thematic orientation: it recounts Chinese history through the eyes of a foreign observer, combining documentary value with readability, and should appeal to readers interested in modern China and the history of Sino-foreign exchange.
