About the author

Fu Hao is a Chinese author known chiefly for translating foreign poetry and literary works; available public information about him is limited. The five works by him in the library show a focus that moves between translation and poetic interpretation. The three-volume collection of Yehuda Amichai's poems, in a revised centenary edition, and the expanded collection of W. B. Yeats's poems present respectively the work of the Israeli poet Amichai and the Irish poet Yeats, reflecting a sustained engagement with foreign literature and classic works. Tonight at Noon: Selected Translations by Fu Hao gathers his translations by his own selection, offering readers a concentrated view of his approach to translation. The title Shuo Shi Jie Yi suggests a combination of commentary on and translation of poetry, leaning toward literary criticism and study. Playing with 3D Printing belongs to general computing, forming a contrast with his main line of literary translation.
