Summary

This volume is issue #10 of Hawkman Vol. 4 (launched by DC Comics in 2002), written by Geoff Johns with art by Rags Morales and Michael Bair. In this issue, Hawkman Carter Hall and Hawkgirl Kendra Saunders travel to Tibet to investigate a kidnapping: the victim is Kendra's grandfather, Speed Saunders. There they encounter a horde of huge, ferocious snow-beast monsters and, fighting their way through, seek a mysterious guide, ultimately facing an evil force that could cost Speed his life and swallow the Hawks as well. The story continues the volume's main thread—tracing Hawkman's past lives and solving the mystery of Hawkgirl's parents' murder—blending adventure, suspense, and aerial combat; it is a fairly typical single-issue adventure chapter from the Geoff Johns era. This volume is the tenth issue of the series, collected as a single issue rather than a trade paperback.

Editor's review

Who it's for

A good fit for

Not a good fit for

Reading tips
