Haunt Vol. 8

This volume is the eighth issue of Haunt, part of the second story arc that began with issue #7 and the first issue after Greg Capullo became the series' regular penciller. The core premise: Daniel Kilgore, a Catholic assistant priest, has long been estranged from his brother Kurt Kilgore, an agent of the secret agency The Agency. After Kurt is murdered, his ghost haunts his younger brother and, when combat is needed, merges with Daniel's body, shaping ectoplasm into a symbiote-like suit; the two brothers thus become a single supernatural being, Haunt, drawn into a world of espionage and the paranormal they knew nothing about. Volume 8 continues this setup: Daniel is already mired in the secret intelligence world Kurt inhabited, and a chain of events takes a heavier mental and physical toll on him than he realizes; with his brother's soul at his side, he must face pressure from hostile forces and unfolding mysteries.
