The Flash Vol. 2 #166

The Flash Vol. 2 #166, published in November 2000, is titled "The Broken Looking Glass" and is the third chapter of the Mirror World storyline. Wally West is trapped in a mirror world that resembles reality but is subtly different: there, the Keystone City police are led by another version of Barry Allen, and Wally himself has no super-speed and is hunted as a criminal. In this issue, Wally and Captain Cold, who is likewise stranded there, try to persuade the "mirror Barry" and his police force, but the negotiations end in gunfire; Captain Cold freezes the incoming bullets, and Mirror Master appears and turns the police into glass. Mirror Master reveals the truth: he and Captain Cold were hired by a mysterious white-haired man to lure Wally into this world, but he too was pulled in, and the mirror gun was damaged in transit; the three must repair it and escape quickly, or their very presence will cause this reality to collapse. Meanwhile, the Thinker of the mirror world has sensed the unreality of his own world and hopes to use Wally and the Rogues to escape into reality. The three break into the Keystone City Hal Jordan Museum to retrieve the needed lens and are attacked by the bounty killer Plunder; Captain Cold is shot in the shoulder, and the three retreat into the mirror maze, where Plunder's laser reflects among countless mirrors, hits Mirror Master's repaired gun, and brings their reflections to life as hostile entities.
