Summary
Robin #129 (part of a long-running series launched in 1993, published August 18, 2004) is the fifth installment of Act One of the DC crossover event "War Games." The individual issue is titled "Alamo High," written by Bill Willingham, with interior art by Giuseppe Camuncoli and Lorenzo Ruggiero and a cover by Dustin Nguyen. In the story, gang warfare in Gotham City escalates, forcing most schools to close; only Louis E. Grieve High School in the Alamo district remains open. Tim Drake, still an ordinary high school student, attends class alongside his classmate Darla Aquista, daughter of crime boss Henry Aquista, who is being targeted by both the Odessa mob and the Ventriloquist's Scarface crew. Around dismissal time, assassins strike at the school gates, forcing Tim to abandon his "ordinary person" identity, intervene, save Darla, and fight off the attackers. In the chaos, multiple factions converge on the campus; police hastily set up a cordon, but armed men still slip into the building, and Darla is shot in the hallway, leaving Tim to administer first aid on the spot. This issue is the fifth chapter of the crossover event, following Batman: Gotham Knights #56 and continuing in Batgirl #55; it was later collected in Batman: War Games, Act One - Outbreak and related trade paperbacks.
Editor's review

FAQ
