Summary
Editor's review
As an editor, I believe the book's value lies in its strong practical orientation and motivational effect. Cheng Jie is not an academic theoretician but a public figure who grew up through frontline practice, which gives the book's cases and advice a distinct personal stamp and sense of reality. For readers eager to break through their limits and enhance their public speaking and leadership, it has direct reference value. The sections on building confidence, shaping language, and managing energy do offer some immediately usable thinking tools.
However, it should also be noted objectively that the book's style leans toward inspiration and sharing insights rather than rigorous academic inquiry. The "aura" system it proposes is closer to a distillation of experience and an integration of beliefs; in depth, it may not satisfy readers seeking systematic theoretical support or critical thinking. The universality of some views and methods also requires readers to assess and verify them according to their own circumstances. Overall, this is an "energy book" suited to reading when one needs a boost of motivation or a spark of direction. Its value lies not in theoretical novelty but in acting as a catalyst for action. It can ignite some people's enthusiasm for action, but long-term development still requires readers to draw on more diverse knowledge and practice.
Who it's for
A good fit for

- Readers who enjoy motivational books blending personal experience and reflection
Not a good fit for

Reading tips
- Treat it as a tool manual: focus on the chapters relevant to your current difficulties and try putting the specific suggestions into practice
- Read with an open yet critical mind; absorb the positive views that resonate with you without feeling obliged to accept everything
- Combine it with more systematic works on psychology or communication for extended reading to build a more comprehensive cognitive framework
