Summary

This is one of the applied law textbooks designed for undergraduate law students: a concise legal textbook that strives to be accessible without being shallow. Through the textbook, students can understand why they study law, what law is like, and how to actually solve real-world problems. Further, it aims to achieve the goal of legal thinking training. The textbook tries to present the three aspects needed in class: lecture, practice, and discussion. It is interactive, includes examples, and uses charts and other means to help students understand legal relations. The specific content of the book is designed according to the usual content of civil law studies. It is distinguished from our existing constitutional law textbook in level and thickness. It takes existing legal provisions as its standpoint while also taking into account disciplinary development, thinking training, and so on.

Editor's review

This is an applied civil law textbook for undergraduate law students, concise in positioning and accessible in style, aiming to help learners understand why law is studied, what law looks like, and how to actually solve real-world problems. Its distinctive feature is the integration of instruction, exercises, and discussion into the textbook, with examples and diagrams to help understand legal relationships, oriented toward the goal of training legal thinking. The content is designed according to the usual civil law system, grounded in current legal provisions while also taking account of disciplinary development and thinking training, and is differentiated in level and thickness from the constitutional law textbook in the same series. When reading, one should not merely memorize provisions but combine examples and diagrams to sort out legal relationships, and use the exercise and discussion sections to test understanding. Suitable as a course textbook for lower-year undergraduate law students, and also for introductory readers who need a systematic overview of the civil law framework. For readers seeking in-depth theoretical topics or comparative law research, this book is positioned as basic and requires supplementary reading.

  3. Complete the exercises in the book carefully and take part in discussions, using output to test mastery of the knowledge points.
