Starfire Vol. 8

Summary
This is issue #8 of DC's 2015–2016 Starfire solo series, co-written by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti, drawn by Emanuela Lupacchino and others, released in North America on January 13, 2016, 32 pages. The story picks up from the end of issue #7: Starfire, now settled in Key West, Florida, has cleared up the dealings surrounding a dangerous weapon called "Trigger" together with her former Teen Titans teammate Nightwing, Dick Grayson, and the two grow closer in the process. In this issue, the forces behind the scenes have not given up—first they send someone to snipe at the pair at sea, then they hire someone to follow them. Starfire tries to fit into life on Earth in her own way while torn between old bonds and her new small-town boyfriend Sol; Nightwing prepares to leave to keep tracking the buyer behind it all. Meanwhile, tension also arises in Sol's relationship with his local partner "Rave." Starfire, who debuted in DC Comics Presents #26 in 1980, has long been one of the most recognizable members of the Teen Titans; this issue continues the series' light, bright tone with a touch of romantic entanglement. This is Volume 8 of the series.
Editor's review
