A good fit for

- Readers interested in Hong Kong urban culture and column writing
- Readers hoping for gentle illumination from everyday experience

Not a good fit for
- Readers expecting systematic argument or a complete theoretical framework
- Readers who prefer strong plot and fast-paced narrative
- Readers hoping for deep social critique or current-affairs analysis
Reading tips
- No need to read straight through; open one or two pieces a day, choosing topics to match your mood.
- When reading pieces on illness, faith, and personal experience, pause and write down your own reflections.
- Read the pieces on urban culture and literature and art together to see the coherence of the author's observational angle.
- Keep it by the bed or in a commuter bag and read in spare moments, avoiding rapid one-sitting completion.
