Summary

Six faculty members and students from the "Common Asset Community Public Industry" research group at North China University form a team. Gong Tongfu, doctoral supervisor and chief author of Common Asset Community Public Industry, serves as group leader; his prized disciple Chen Xi, adjunct professor and deputy director of the Provincial Party Committee Policy Research Office, serves as deputy leader. The university approves graduating students Ren Pu, Tian Ye, Li Qian, and Zhang Zhonghua as team members, who, while pursuing consecutive master's and doctoral studies, go down to urban and rural communities to link teaching with society and establish social internship bases for university graduates. Through social practice, they explore a path of applying learning to employment, moving from the classroom to the workplace.

Ren Pu and Tian Ye struggle to start businesses in Rainbow Community of Yandu, a county-level city, surrounded and without an outlet. Just as they can barely move forward, Chen Xi, arranged by the Provincial Party Committee, takes temporary duty as Yandu Party Secretary to conduct on-site grassroots research: "How can we break out of the current real estate bottleneck?" Zhang Zhonghua passes the Yandu civil service exam and volunteers to serve as community secretary in Rainbow Community; Li Qian becomes a village official in Shangdao Village. Teachers and students work as one, opening a path that uses idle community resources to develop common assets, build community public industry, establish community companies, and develop community service supermarkets.

After three to four years of hard work and dedication, the six-member task force drives new community development, renovation of unfinished buildings, and new planning for old communities, raising the tide of community public industry wealth in Yandu.

About the author

余克强 Author

Public information about Yu Keqiang is limited. What can be confirmed is that three works appear under his name: Jing Meng Wu (Dreamlike Dance), Qianqiu zhi Wu: Yu Keqiang Wenxue Zuopin Ji (Dance of a Thousand Autumns: A Collection of Literary Works by Yu Keqiang), and Gongtong Zichan Shequ Gongye (Common Assets and Community Public Undertakings). Judging from these titles and the categories they are commonly filed under, his writing spans social fiction and classic works while also touching on finance and economics, suggesting an author who moves between literary narrative and real-world economic questions. The collection presents the overall shape of his literary writing, while Dreamlike Dance leans toward a narrative built around dance. Common Assets and Community Public Undertakings, inferred from its title and its finance category, appears to address economic issues surrounding community assets and public services. Because his dates, nationality, and educational background are not clearly recorded, his biography remains difficult to reconstruct, and readers can presently know this author only through the works themselves.
