On the eve of her wedding, Xu Xiao discovers that her boyfriend's affair partner is none other than her best friend, and she calls off the engagement.
During this low period, Xu Xiao meets two men in succession—one claims to be her ex-boyfriend, and the other says she once toyed with his feelings.
By others' accounts, Xu Xiao was once beautiful and aloof but also harsh and fickle; though betrothed to Gao Qingshu, she restlessly flirted with the wealthy second-generation He Zhengming. After being exposed, she vanished mysteriously.
