Rise of Incarnates is a comic adaptation created by Marvel Comics for the 2v2 fighting online game of the same name developed by Bandai Namco. Produced by Marvel Custom Solutions in collaboration with the game's developers, the series began serialization in July 2014 as digital and free print issues, running for approximately 17 installments. The story is set in and around a Times Square ravaged by natural disasters and war, where individuals capable of awakening, incarnating, and wielding a divine power have appeared, known as "Incarnates." A message spreads across the world: only by defeating "the ruler of this era" can the foretold destruction be averted. Incarnates from all sides thus contend with one another for power, authority, and their own obsessions. This volume is the third installment of the series. Constrained by the serialized format, it shares the same worldview and character threads as the series as a whole, building on the groundwork laid in the first two volumes and continuing to advance the conflicts among the Incarnates. Existing records contain only scattered mentions of individual installment titles and a rough timeline, with no verifiable complete plot for this volume, so no detailed description of specific battles, characters, or chapters is provided; subsequent installments in the series, such as Volume 4, continue the same event line. Readers may regard this volume as a transitional and advancing segment in the middle of this game-adapted comic.
