False Faces (Batman: False Faces) is a collection themed on identity and disguise, gathering early Batman and DC Universe work by Brian K. Worse still, just as Bruce and Dick Grayson are reviewing events in the Batcave, Oracle reports that Matches Malone has been shot in a city bar. How can "another person" who is in fact Batman be killed? Batman must investigate who is borrowing or even impersonating the identity, and what role Scarface plays in it. This volume is number 588 of the series, corresponding to the opening installment of the three-part story that begins the collection.
