The Flash #12

Summary
This is issue #12 of The Flash (2011) from DC's New 52 relaunch, written by Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato, with Manapul on art and Buccellato on colors. Published in August 2012, it concludes the "Rogues Revolution" arc and is often seen as the capstone of the New 52's first year. The story picks up from issue #11: Captain Cold and Heat Wave are being transported to Iron Heights Prison when Cold's sister, Glider (Lisa Snart), hijacks the convoy mid-route, rescuing Heat Wave but leaving her own brother in the crashing prison transport. Meanwhile, Central City holds a ceremony for Dr. Darwin Elias's new energy monorail. The Flash confronts Elias about taking credit for residual Speed Force energy and smearing him in public; Elias claims it was all just a scientific experiment. Glider then publicly wounds Elias with a lens and frames the Flash. Weather Wizard, Heat Wave, Pied Piper, Trickster, Mirror Master, and other Rogues appear one after another, plunging Central City into a Rogue civil war. The monorail is pulled into the Mirror Dimension, Glider crowns herself the new leader of the gang, and the price the Rogues pay for their energy mutation—Heat Wave severely injured, Cold's sister transformed—gradually surfaces amid the conflict. The volume is action-driven, with action staging and paneling the main draw; Barry's own role is relatively compressed, and the story centers on the villains' fracture and realignment.
Editor's review

FAQ
