PHP and MySQL Web Development (Fourth Edition, Chinese Translation)

This book is the Chinese translation of the fourth edition of PHP and MySQL Web Development, co-authored by Luke Welling and Laura Thomson and translated by Wu Xin. It combines the PHP scripting language with the MySQL database, aiming to help readers build database-driven, interactive web applications from scratch using these two open-source technologies. The content is organized into five parts. Part I covers the PHP language itself, from a quick start, storing and retrieving data, arrays, strings, and regular expressions, to code reuse, object-oriented programming, and error and exception handling. This edition has been fully updated and expanded, covering features from PHP 5 through 5.3 (such as namespaces and closures) and the stored procedures and storage engines introduced in MySQL 5.1, making it suitable as both a tutorial and a reference for systematically learning PHP and MySQL.
