Summary
This volume collects issue #1 of FF Vol. 2 by Matt Fraction and Michael Allred (Marvel NOW! era, released November 2012, cover date January 2013), titled "Parts of a Whole." In the story, the Fantastic Four—Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm—must leave Earth for a time, and to keep the Future Foundation at the Baxter Building running, they decide to recruit a team of temporary replacements. Reed asks Scott Lang (Ant-Man), devastated by the loss of his daughter Cassie, to lead the Future Foundation in his absence; Ben Grimm persuades She-Hulk, Jen Walters, to join; the Invisible Woman travels to the Inhuman city of Attilan to invite Medusa; and Johnny draws his new friend Darla Deering into the mix. The issue follows Scott Lang as he "interviews" the children of the Future Foundation one by one, with Valeria and Franklin, Bentley-23 and Dragon Man, the Moloids, the Uhura and the Wakandan girl Onome all appearing to tell their origins and the institution's ideals. With breezy, witty dialogue and retro pop-art visuals, the issue opens a series centered on the next generation of gifted children.
Editor's review
作为 Marvel NOW!

FAQ
