Bao Dong

Bao Dong is a Chinese translator about whom limited public information is available; his main work is translating English social science books into Chinese. The library holds three of his translations, covering the fields of finance and applied psychology. In finance, he co-translated Rushir Sharma's The Rise and Fall of Nations with Liu Yinlong, and also translated a big-trends edition of that book. In psychology, he co-translated Leslie Becker-Phelps's The Rejected's Courage: Resilience Thinking to Overcome Emotional Exhaustion with Wang Lin. He has also translated works such as Great Brands. His translations are mostly aimed at general readers, with subjects leaning toward economic trends and psychological adjustment, and his renderings serve to make the original works accessible.
