高皋

Gao Gao is a Chinese-language author known for wuxia fiction. Public information about him is limited: his nationality, dates of birth and death, and English name are not clearly recorded. Twelve of his works are held in the collection, including Blood Splashed on Jiangnan, The Ruthless Mountain-Driving Whip, The Maimed Sword Companion, La Gu, The Wild Phoenix Slays the Dragon, Whirlwind, Fragrance Drifting Through Tiger Forest, and The Red-Robed Killer, all classified as wuxia novels. The titles suggest stories of Jianghu grudges, clashes of blade and sword, and swift vengeance, with vivid imagery and the sharp, legendary flavor common to traditional wuxia. Because detailed records of his life and writing background are lacking, a full assessment of his style and literary influence is difficult; based on the existing titles, however, he maintained a steady output in the wuxia genre, with a considerable number of works and a fairly concentrated focus. Readers interested in him may explore the works listed above; fuller author information remains to be supplemented.
