About the author

Gao Quanxi is an author about whom limited public information is available; his works mainly touch on law, politics, and intellectual history. The library holds three of his works: Legal Order and Liberal Justice: Hayek's Legal and Constitutional Thought (Revised Edition), On the Right of Mutual Recognition: Two Studies of the Phenomenology of Spirit, and Daguan: The Vicissitudes of Sea Power. These titles suggest an interest in Hayekian liberal jurisprudence, the recognition of legal rights, and sea power and political configurations. His writing combines intellectual-historical exposition with theoretical analysis and shows a strongly academic, speculative bent. His subjects span jurisprudence, political philosophy, and historical observation, and his readership consists mainly of academic circles concerned with legal order and political thought. Because biographical information is insufficient, no speculative description is offered here.
