高克勤

Gao Keqin's biographical information is currently limited, and a complete account of his life is not available. Judging from the four works held in the collection, his writings center mainly on Song dynasty literature, combining selected annotations of classical poetry with literary appreciation. His representative works, Essentials of Song Poetry, Annotated Selections of Wang Anshi's Poetry and Prose, and A Critical Commentary on Wang Anshi's Poetry and Prose, all take Song poetry and Wang Anshi's writings as their subject, either gathering notable pieces, annotating them one by one, or offering critical analysis, which shows a fairly thorough grasp of Song poetic texts and Wang Anshi's work. Huixin Buyuan (A Understanding Heart Is Not Far) belongs to the category of prose and miscellaneous writings and has a more informal tone. Overall, Gao Keqin's writing tends toward the popularization of traditional poetry and prose and literary appreciation, emphasizing the presentation of original texts through anthologies and annotations, and is suitable for readers interested in classical poetry.
