马光复

Ma Guangfu is a Chinese author whose known work centers on historical romances. Public information about him is limited, and basic details such as his nationality, dates of birth and death, and personal background remain unclear. The seven works recorded in the catalog focus on historical figures from the pre-Qin period to the Ming dynasty, including Jiang Ziya, Wu Zixu, Wang Meng, Zhuge Liang, Zhao Pu, Xu Maogong, and Yao Guangxiao, all presented in the form of yanyi, or historical romance. This kind of writing usually takes historical facts as its framework, adds folk legends and reasonable imagination, and places its characters within concrete political and military situations. His works are classified as historical reading, with occasional tags of otherworldly fantasy, suggesting that the narratives are popularized and somewhat legendary in character, making it easier for general readers to learn about the relevant historical figures and allusions.
