Public information about Gu Mu is limited, and details of his identity and nationality are not clearly documented. The six works held in the database nonetheless show the range of his reading and writing interests. In foreign literature, he focuses on German-language writing, having worked on the 2019 Nobel laureate's work "Lament without Desire" and on cross-cultural texts such as "A History of Chinese Literature Written by Germans." In the areas of personal growth and social observation, "Self-Determined Loneliness: A Society Where Intimacy Is Hard to Build" examines the difficulties modern people face in forming close relationships, with a reflective and accessible tone. He has also ventured into fantasy with the "Hidden Page Bookstore" series, showing an interest in otherworldly-continent themes. Overall, his work spans literary appreciation, translation and introduction of foreign literature, and genre writing; its range is broad, and a fuller account of his style would require more material.
