顾之川

Gu Zhichuan has long been involved in compiling classic-reading books for student readers; however, little public information is available about his personal life, and no detailed biography can be offered here. The library contains ten of his works, all belonging to the "Wenxin Reading: Curriculum-Based Classics Series." They cover Chinese classics such as Water Margin, Journey to the West, and The Scholars, as well as foreign literary and popular-science works including Jane Eyre, The Insects, and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. These books adapt and present the original texts for curriculum-based reading, spanning classical literature, literary appreciation, world classics, and popular science, while also addressing the needs of examination-oriented reading. The editorial approach focuses on helping readers approach the originals within a curricular context and understand both their content and literary value, making the books suitable for students' extracurricular reading and related study.
