About the author

Wei Jian is a Chinese author engaged in research on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) orthopedics and traumatology, affiliated with Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine. Public information about him is limited, and no systematic account of his life has yet appeared; existing introductions rest mainly on the medical works he has co-authored or co-edited. Judging from the three titles held in the collection, his writing falls into two areas: consolidating academic experience in TCM and popularizing TCM culture. With Liu Jianhang he co-edited an academic volume on Wei Guikang, a nationally renowned master of Chinese medicine, helping to document Wei's scholarly legacy. He co-authored a book on the Wei family of bone-setting practitioners in Guangxi and co-edited a work on cervical hypertension and Wei-style manual therapy, discussing the application of Wei-style bone-setting techniques in treating cervical hypertension. He has also written a book introducing TCM knowledge through classical Chinese poetry. Overall, his writing balances scholarship with readability, serving both the preservation of professional experience and the wider dissemination of TCM culture to general readers.
