Chen Mo

Chen Mo, whose original name is Chen Biqiang, was born in 1960 in Wangjiang, Anhui. He graduated from the Department of Chinese at Anhui University and the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Before retirement, he was a second-tier research fellow at the China Film Art Research Center (China Film Archive) and vice president of the Chinese Wuxia Literature Society. He is known for his scholarship on Jin Yong and wuxia literature, with more than twenty monographs including the "Chen Mo on Jin Yong" series, as well as works on film history and oral history such as A History of Chinese Wuxia Cinema. He has been called the leading scholar of "Jin Studies" in mainland China. Beyond academic writing, he addresses general readers with books on motivation, personal growth, and management, such as The 7 Characters of Highly Effective People and Learning Conduct from Confucius, Learning Action from Cao Cao, covering topics from managerial speech and networking to the cultivation and charisma of managers. His style is accessible and practical, combining traditional wisdom with everyday conduct and workplace management.
