About the author

Qiu Yijiang is an author about whom public information is limited; what can be confirmed is that three of his works are held in the collection, falling mainly under the categories of language and writing and social sciences. Judging from his representative works, his writing centers on journalism, communication, and broadcasting, combining academic research with on-the-ground reporting. On the one hand, Research on the Art of Broadcasting and Hosting in the Era of Convergent Media: Reporter-Host and the volume on Chinese television news award-winning items from the perspective of journalistic professionalism show his systematic thinking on the changing role of hosts amid media convergence, journalistic professionalism, and television news production. On the other hand, the China Social Survey series volume on deep reporting in the South China Sea reflects his firsthand interview practice. His works as a whole combine theory with practice and academic concerns with real-world issues, making them suitable for readers in journalism and communication, broadcasting and hosting, and social survey research.
